Our Mission
Welcome to the WriteNow community. We are a group of writers united behind one common theme… we love the writing process (brainstorming, writing, editing, publishing)!
BUT not all parts of the process are created equal, and sometimes we need motivation by talking with other writers in the community.
We write in many genres, including:
⚔️ Fantasy, 🤖 Science-Fiction, 🌹Romance, 🌏Memoir, 💀Thriller, etc.
And we write in many formats, such as novels, flash fiction, screenplays, graphic novels, etc.
We are here to help motivate each other, avoid writer's block, and get our books published, scripts optioned, and stories told to the world because it’s time to WriteNow!
Our Pledge
Pledge I will write now. By pantsing or plotting. With quill or ink. Every draft searching for the click. Not to tell just any story - My story.

The August 80K-48K-18K Challenge |
Our community will be involved in this AuthorTube Writing challenge for August. M. M. Ward is putting it together, and many authortubers in the community are involved. We will be hosting the challenge predominantly on our Sunday streams throughout August, but other Authortubers will be hosting it on their channels daily. More details below:
Why: August80k/18K is a challenge a friend of M. M. Ward's was doing, where she wrote 18K or edited 80k each August to get herself back into a writing routine after summer vacation. M. M. Ward decided to write the 80K in 2019, instead of editing. She learned that it wasn’t about the count, it was about the routine.
After her friend passed from COVID, she kept doing it alone. After six years, she is only three for six for writing 80K, and that’s okay, because the point isn’t the word count for writing or editing; it is about establishing a routine to carry her through the fall and winter writing seasons.
What: There are no project restrictions; you can write on as many things as you want, as many days a week as you want. The purpose is to create a consistent, sustainable habit of taking time to write, without feeling overwhelmed or being pushed into burnout. All skills and speeds of writers are welcome. This isn’t a contest. It’s writers supporting writers.
